Eligibility Criteria
Junior Hindi Translator
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 30 years
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Hindi or English with the other as a compulsory or elective subject
- Alternatively, a Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi/English as medium and the other as compulsory
- Plus a recognized diploma/certificate in translation (Hindi ↔ English) or 2 years of experience in translation
- Desirable: Knowledge of one regional language at the Matric level and a degree/diploma in translation
Junior Secretariat Assistant (Gen/F&A/S&P)
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 28 years
- Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 or XII pass
- Proficiency in typing (35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi)
- Job Role: Administrative assistance in finance, accounts, and store functions, including typing and data entry
Junior Stenographer (English/Hindi)
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 27 years
- Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 or XII pass
- Proficiency in stenography (80 w.p.m.) in either English or Hindi
- Job Role: Stenographic support, secretarial duties, and official documentation
Age Relaxation
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD (UR): 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (after deduction of service)
- CSIR Employees: No age limit for JSA & Steno; 5 years for JHT
- Women (Widows/Divorced): Up to 35 years (UR/OBC), 40 years (SC/ST)
Selection Process
Junior Hindi Translator
- Paper I: Objective (General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness)
- Paper II: Descriptive (Translation & Precis Writing)
- Merit will be based on Paper II only.
Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)
- Paper I: Mental Ability (No negative marking)
- Paper II: General Awareness & English Language (1 mark will be deducted for incorrect answers)
- Typing Test: Qualifying nature; final merit based on Paper II.
Junior Stenographer
- Written Exam: Single paper (General Intelligence, General Awareness, English Language)
- Steno Test: 80 w.p.m. dictation (50 mins in English, 65 mins in Hindi)
- Final merit will be based on written test (Steno test is qualifying).
